The Ministry of Education has been attempting to build up a National Art Education Policy to bring craftsmanship once more into the instruction framework so as to deliver understudies who are basic and empathetic, as indicated by Education Minister Dr Maszlee Malik.

Sharing his experience living in the United Kingdom, Maszlee said his kids considered scholastics at school, but at the same time were shown different types of expressions and took an interest in theater exhibitions consistently.
The Cendana Arts Education Program is executed by the Cultural Economy Development Agency (Cendana) for understudies from standard three to six of national schools, including Chinese and Tamil schools with need given to rural, rustic, B40, Indigenous and specialized curriculum schools.
The program is isolated into two areas – the #BASKL Art Study Tour (AEX) Program and the Artists in Schools Program (AISP).
Under AEX, understudies will get immediate presentation through guided voyages through visual expressions displays with each chosen school conceded a portion of up to RM5,000 every year to take care of the expense of transportation, nourishment and refreshment and protection for 108 understudies to chosen occasions.
Under the AISP, chose specialists will give workmanship courses in schools including an allotment of RM8,000 per school.
