While attending the United Nation Environment Conference, Israeli Foreign Minister also spoke with the officials of the United Arab Emirates about the stronger mutual relations.
According to the Israeli Foreign Ministry, On Sunday the Foreign Minister of Israel visited the United Arab Emirates as part of the United Nation Environment Conference.
Meeting with the officials of the United Arab Emirates, the Israeli Foreign Minister had a discussion on the developing ties with the United Arab Emirates in the agriculture high tech, water management, and energy, told a ministry statement on Monday.
The statement said that the discussion also covered the regional issues, inclusive of the need to deal with the threats of a nuclear Iran, which the ballistic missile development of the country and its support for the terrorism in the region.
Katz took part in the United Nation’s 2-day Abu Dhabi Climate summit where he also met with the Secretary-General of the United Nation.
According to media of Israel, the Foreign Minister presented the ‘Ways for regional peace’ initiative on a strategic, as well as, economic connection between the Gulf States by means of Jordan which is the railway network of Israel and the Haifa ports in the Mediterranean.
Katz said that he was thrilled to be standing there in Abu Dhabi and representing the interest of the state of Israel vis-a-vis the Arab Gulf states.
He said that he will continue to work with the Prime minister of Israel ‘Benjamin Netanyahu’ for the promotion of the normalization policy with the potential they are leading, based on capabilities of Israel both in the fields of intelligence & security and in various other residential areas.
