More than 300 expats, generally from India, working with a privately owned business in the UAE are attempting to make a decent living after not getting their pay rates for a while now, a media report said on Friday.
The predicament of the laborers started barely a year back when they began encountering delays in getting pay rates. While some have not gotten compensations for a quarter of a year, some others have abandoned pay for at least five months, the Khaleej Times announced.
The laborers are confronting lack of sustenance and medical problems. A significant number of them need to come back to India, however their visas have lapsed, which the business has wouldn’t restore, the report said.
The Indian Consulate here has said that its authorities have visited the organization and addressed the concerned specialists.
“The business said he kept running into business issues and that is the reason he was unfit to pay the specialists. Vipul additionally said that the Indian Consulate has eluded the case to the Ministry of Human Resources and Emiratization.
