The Chairman of Dubai Executive Council, as well as, The Crown Prince of Dubai, H.H. Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, said that the aspiring vision of His Highness, Vice President, as well as, the Prime Minister & Dubai’s ruler Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum has assisted the emirate take benefit of its strategic location & its status as a joint between the East & the West to become a magnet for talent & a global higher education spot.
The vision of the leadership which concentrates on the development of a knowledge-based economy has enabled Dubai to provide a hospitable environment for achieving academic excellence.
H.H said that the government of Dubai has placed the greatest priority on the development of higher education and increasing the competitiveness of our own universities, which constitutes part of our attempts to establish a knowledge-based economy. To achieve this strategic objective, we have approved a Rating System for the International Branch Campuses in Dubai.
We will be continuing to develop the plans & strategies for enhancing the high-quality educational offering of Dubai and facilitating the building of more campuses of significant international universities. We are putting efforts to further boost the global competitiveness of Dubai in this domain by ensuring the highest quality standards.
Students could now easily make well-informed higher education choices with the help of the decision of The Executive Council of Dubai to introduce a rating system.
The Campus Rating system was developed by the Knowledge and Human Development Authority and is based on the topmost benchmarks adopted by countries in quest of attracting international students. The system allows students to make educational choices based on clear objective data.
The system also helps educational institutions in identifying strengths, as well as, opportunities for improvement as well as attract investors.
