In a clarification, the public power said that 7 Indian and 1 Pakistan-based YouTube news channels were restriction on counterfeit YouTube channels that deceive clients, the service said under the IT Rules, 2021.

Out of outright 8 YouTube channels, 7 are from India, and 1 is from Pakistan. The Help of Information and Broadcasting said in a clarification that fake, foes of India content were being adjusted through the blocked channels.
The YouTube channels were spreading falsehood about India’s public security, new relations, and public solicitation, the public authority said. “The substance was seen as absolutely counterfeit and tricky as indicated by the perspective of public security and India’s obliging relations with new expresses,” the attestation said.

Watch Lokantar TV, U&V TV, AM Razvi, Gauravshali Pawan Mithilanchal, Stop fifth, Govt Update, Sab Kuch Dekho. Additionally, the Pakistan-based channel “News Ki Dunya” is obstructed. Around 85 lakh clients got involved with the channels. Beside this, one Facebook record and two Facebook posts have been restricted.
While the assistance said these YouTube stations were deluding clients and making their substance appear “authentic”, India-based stations were “found using fake and sensationalized thumbnails, pictures of columnists and logos of explicit TV news stations”. “All YouTube channels frustrated by the assistance were showing advertisements on their accounts containing misdirecting substance dangerous to aggregate congruity, public solicitation, and India’s new relations,” the public authority further underlined.
Since December, the Center has obstructed 102 channels on YouTube and a couple of other electronic diversion accounts.
“The Public power of India is centered around ensuring a genuine, trustworthy and secure electronic news media environment and to hinder any undertaking to undermine India’s influence and dependability, public wellbeing, new relations, and public solicitation,” the solicitation read.
