Owned by the richest man on the planet, Jeff Bezos, Amazon is a retail enterprise that has been spreading across the globe at such a rate that it has become a retail giant known to almost everyone. Now, with the arrival of Amazon in the Netherlands, it has become larger even. Previously, only eBooks were sold in the country by Amazon. But with the introduction of Amazon.nl, this retail giant has opened up a wide range of shopping options for the Dutch.
Majorly, Amazon is aiming to make business from the Belgian customers as well as enterprises. The Dutch had access to Amazon but it was through the German website. Well, the sellers and the buyers now have access through a Dutch website. It is, however, not entirely a good news for the Dutch with a Prime membership on the German website as the membership is not transferable. There are no such issues for the normal account holders.
It is known to the users in Belgian that there is a free delivery on products above €20 and the delivery is expected to take about two to four working days. The Amazon.nl website will also be competing with the existing Dutch retail websites which include Coolblue and Bol.com, as per the retail experts. Well, it depends on the service of the retails and the loyalty of the customers how well can Amazon do on this new venture.
When it comes to the competition, Bol.com is quite known in the country and in the retail market, and Coolblue is wide over the online market in electronics for home and white goods. Amazon has a global recognition in those terms. Amazon is also known to have attractive offers and affordable prices for the products that can cost a fortune normally. And like the most shoppers across the world, the Dutch as well would like to buy products for reasonable and cheaper prices and would go for savings rather than brands.
