Abu Dhabi: Wizz Air and ADDH to Launch Low-cost Airlines

This Emirati Airline which is a joint venture between Wizz Air Holdings and Abu Dhabi Developmental Holding Company (ADDH). They are planning to launch the airline which will commence its operations in fall 2020 at the Abu Dhabi International Airport.

This agreement for the Airline is a crucial milestone in terms of reasonable air travel options, as tourists visiting the Emirates and the capital get the best on-board experience. The comparatively low fares are also an attractive feature for the travelers across Asia, the Middle East, Europe and Africa. This airline joint venture will certainly boost the economy thereby creating job opportunities.

Abu Dhabi is looking forward to commercial development across all sectors under the AED50 billion accelerator program Ghadan 21. The announcement of this airline is a major positive step with regards to innovation and business investment. The process to get operator certificate and license for the airline has also been initiated with the General Civil Aviation Authority UAE. According to Mohamed Hassan Al Suwaidi, the CEO of ADDH, major steps are being taken to develop tourist infrastructure comprising of resorts, hotels and entertainment parks along with investment in developing airports and convenient aviation options.

Wizz Air Holdings was incorporated as Wizz Air Hungary Ltd. and the logo on its aeroplanes is stylized as ‘W!ZZ’. It is a Hungarian Airline. It has flights across Europe, Middle East and North Africa. Wizz Air is growing at a fast pace and is one of the credible brands in the aviation industry.
